High End Remodeling Business with Exceptional Profitability

The owner began his career in the hardwood flooring industry at age 17. After completing an apprenticeship with a respected contractor, he successfully operated a business before relocating to Oregon in 2016. In 2019, he started the company and established an office and storage facility in the region, initially focusing on high-end commercial hardwood flooring during a local market boom. At its peak, the commercial division employed 12 full-time installers and two administrative staff, securing major projects such as luxury landmark developments. In response to the pandemic, the company strategically pivoted back to high-end residential work. This transition required restructuring the workforce, shifting from commercial to residential installers. Amidst these operational changes and significant personal challenges in 2021—including raising three children while working 80-hour weeks—the owner re-evaluated the business model. The goal was to maximize profitability while optimizing time management. This strategic restructuring allowed the company to successfully diversify, seamlessly pivoting from premium flooring into comprehensive residential remodeling. Today, the company efficiently manages three to four remodeling projects simultaneously. The owner has successfully reduced his operational commitment to 30–35 hours per week, supported by a part-time employee who handles administrative duties and interior design consultations. The company remains dedicated to traditional craftsmanship, natural materials, and high-end residential design.
